About Ratnagiri Estate Naturals

Strawberry, Yellow Raisin and Mirabelle Plum. Roasting Profile - Filter ( Light Roast ). Process - Naturals. Varietal - Catuai 100% Arabica. Altitude - 1350 MASL. Producer Name - Ashok Patre. Harvest Year - 2023-2024. This is a 72-hour yeast fermented natural processed coffee. It is from the SLN 9 varietal grown on our farm at 4400 feet from the block called Line Patte. The Brix of the coffee cherries was 25.2 when harvested and they were put in the stainless-steel fermenters after floater removal. A particular strain of yeast was added to the coffee in the fermenters and allowed to ferment for 72 hours in a carbon dioxide rich environment. After removing the coffee, they were directly put on raised beds for slow drying. The coffee was then dried slowly with constant stirring over the next 26 days. A well balanced and sweet coffee with bright acidity. Ideal for manual brews. The charge temperature is low, the roast duration is longer with the development time around 1 minute 30 seconds with a DTR of nearly 15%.

Coffee Q&A

Corridor Seven Coffee Roasters's tasting notes for Ratnagiri Estate Naturals lean toward Mirabelle Plum, Strawberry and Yellow Raisin. Flavor is subjective and shifts with roast freshness, grind size, and brew method, so your cup may vary.

Ratnagiri Estate Naturals is a single-origin coffee, sourced from one origin rather than blended, so it reflects the character of that specific place.

Ratnagiri Estate Naturals is suggested for Aeropress, French Press and Pour Over. As a rule of thumb: espresso needs a fine grind, pour-over and drip a medium grind, and French press or cold brew a coarse grind. Dial in from there to taste.
