About Loris

The Loris is a Dark Roast, washed Arabica of the Selection 9 varietal that has been carefully hand pulped to ensure that each bean is completely damage free. The result is a rich and bold cup of coffee with flavour notes of dark chocolate and burnt caramel. This beautiful Arabica coffee comes from our partner farmer producer organisation in the Biligirirangan Hills, an incredibly lush deciduous forest on the confluence of the Western and Eastern Ghats.

Good to Know

Before You Brew.

Quick answers on how Loris tastes, brews, and where it comes from.

Coffee Q&A

Black Baza Coffee's tasting notes for Loris lean toward Burnt Caramel and Dark Chocolate. Flavor is subjective and shifts with roast freshness, grind size, and brew method, so your cup may vary.

Loris is a single-origin coffee, sourced from one origin rather than blended, so it reflects the character of that specific place.

Loris is suggested for Aeropress, French Press and Moka Pot. As a rule of thumb: espresso needs a fine grind, pour-over and drip a medium grind, and French press or cold brew a coarse grind. Dial in from there to taste.
