About Dark Lord

Two coffees from Ratnagiri Estate. Two distinct processes. The first A natural lot fermented in a cold room for *150 hours*, followed by slow, controlled drying. The second A hydro honey lot dried in complete darkness for 19 days, allowing its sweetness and fruit character to develop gradually. The two are brought together and shaped through a Japanese-inspired dark roast curve -building depth, sweetness and a bolder structure while preserving the coffee’s natural acidity and origin character. Dark in profile, yet expressive in the cup. Created for manual filter brewing Powerful enough for espresso.

Coffee Q&A

Ground Zero Coffee Roasters's tasting notes for Dark Lord lean toward Blackcurrent, Dark Cherry and Yuzu. Flavor is subjective and shifts with roast freshness, grind size, and brew method, so your cup may vary.

Dark Lord is a single-origin coffee, sourced from one origin rather than blended, so it reflects the character of that specific place.

Dark Lord is suggested for Aeropress, Espresso, French Press and Pour Over. As a rule of thumb: espresso needs a fine grind, pour-over and drip a medium grind, and French press or cold brew a coarse grind. Dial in from there to taste.
