About Jaggery Trail - Honey Process
Jaggery Trail is a clean, sweet and balanced coffee that is not designed to be a fruit-forward cup like many natural-processed coffees. Instead, the Yellow Honey process brings out a gentle sweetness and subtle fruit character, with jaggery sweetness taking centre stage and the fruit notes remaining soft and well integrated. This coffee comes from Kaapikaadu Estate, located at an elevation of 950 MASL in Sakleshpur, Karnataka. The coffee is produced by Austin Lobo, a third-generation planter. Only ripe cherries are selectively harvested, with careful attention given to quality at the picking stage. After harvest, the cherries are processed as a Yellow Honey coffee and slowly dried on raised beds. Roasted Light Plus, Jaggery Trail keeps the sweetness at the forefront while allowing delicate fruit characteristics to develop underneath. This is a coffee suited to those who enjoy clean, sweet and balanced cups, where the character of the honey process is expressed through natural sweetness rather than intense fermentation or heavy fruitiness.
