About Julien Peak Forest
Recommended Brewing: As you smell the grounds, the freshness in the fragrance already prepares you for a great coffee experience. The aroma is an amalgamation of citrus notes and cinnamon, accompanied by the sweetness of molasses, with floral citric notes balanced by nutty peanut brittle and sweet spices. Most of our customers prefer Julien Peak brewed in a Moka pot, French Press or Pour-Over. The Story: Robert Frost's 'The Road Not Taken' is a poem most of us have read at least once in our childhood or at some point in our lives. These beans are sourced from the off-beat, "less taken" region of Yercaud in the Shevaroy Hills of Tamil Nadu. We have lost track of the number of visits we've paid to Julien Peak, where Ramesh Rajah grows his coffee under the thick canopy, where no tree is felled. Here, trees are allowed to die naturally, and kept there, to nurture the soil, and perpetuate the cycle of life.
