ICB Fortnight 4 · 18 Apr 2026
We just crossed
1,000 coffees.
Hello again,
The last two weeks, I've been scouring Reddit and the internet for new roasters to add to the site. Eleven made the cut, some well-known, some genuinely obscure, and that batch pushed the total number of unique coffees past 1,000. Still amazes me how varied the coffees our fellow roasters are putting out there.
I've been writing instructional pieces for a while now, but I'd love to feature one of you as well. If you have a story, a roast, a farm visit, a brewing rabbit hole — hit me up on Instagram or just reply here. Credits, backlinks, and references, obviously.
Also in this issue: a Robusta thread worth reading, two field guide articles on AeroPress and Monsooned Malabar, and a new brew diagnostic tool we just shipped. Hit reply if something catches your eye. Also, check out our new brew diagnostic tool we just shipped.

PS: we've been active on Instagram too — check it out.

Robusta coffee is gaining popularity and interesting processing methods are elevating the drinking experience
A thread on r/IndiaCoffee examines Robusta's rising profile — the community is discussing how anaerobic and carbonic maceration processing is closing the complexity gap with Arabica. Of the 238 coffees added to ICB this fortnight, 21 are anaerobic or carbonic maceration processed.

Coffee Compass
Coffee Compass is a diagnostic tool for home brewers. When a cup tastes off — too bitter, too sour, too thin — it maps the likely cause to the specific brew variables worth adjusting: grind size, water temperature, ratio, or contact time.
It does not tell you what to brew. It helps you fix what went wrong. Inspired by the BaristaHustle Compass method.
