ICB Fortnight 3 · 4 Apr 2026
82 new coffees, weekly data refresh, and Ekata Coffee joins.
Hello,
Issue 3! and we barely made it this time. Mostly because I was deep in the code, and fighting python. But finally we have some great news! ICB data now refreshes weekly — meaning new products, catalog changes and price updates reflect far more quickly than before. In other news, two new roasters joined — Ekata Coffee from Kerala's Malabar region and Gram Coffee Roasters from Jaipur — and 82 new coffees were added to the catalogue. More on all of it below.
As always, reply if something catches your attention — we read everything.

Based in Kerala's Malabar region and founded in 2016, they operate their own agroforestry network built on biodynamic and carbon-negative farming practices — with certifications from IMO, Demeter, NPOP, and SCA. The focus is on traceability and farmer welfare across an organic, ethically sourced Indian coffee supply chain.

Platform Update
New on ICB.
ICB data now refreshes every week. New products, price changes, and catalogue updates will be reflected far more accurately than before — so what you see on the site is much closer to what's actually available from each roaster. This has been in the works for a while and is now running reliably.

LPG shortage due to global constraints — more price hikes incoming?
A thread on r/IndiaCoffee is looking at how global LPG supply constraints are affecting Indian roasters who depend on it for roasting. The discussion touches on cost pressures and whether the shortage is pushing some operations to rethink their setup. Are you noticing this — either in conversations with roasters or in what you're paying for your coffee?
