About Melkodige Estate

S 795 is a varietal know for it’s cupping qualities. This varietal is grown at an elevation of 4200 ft MSL the ripe cherries are selectively handpicked, sorted and passed through a syphon to remove lighter cherries. The cherries are then pulped to remove the outer skin . The pulped beans are fermented for 12 hours before they are passed through an aqua washer to remove the mucilage. The beans are then soaked in water for about an hour to remove excess mucilage. The coffees are then dried on raised beds for 10 days. This coffee has a very floral aroma and citrusy sweet lime aftertaste.

Coffee Q&A

Corridor Seven Coffee Roasters's tasting notes for Melkodige Estate lean toward Dark Cherry, Mulberry and Sweet Finish. Flavor is subjective and shifts with roast freshness, grind size, and brew method, so your cup may vary.

Melkodige Estate is a single-origin coffee, sourced from one origin rather than blended, so it reflects the character of that specific place.

Melkodige Estate is suggested for Aeropress, French Press and Moka Pot. As a rule of thumb: espresso needs a fine grind, pour-over and drip a medium grind, and French press or cold brew a coarse grind. Dial in from there to taste.
